How much does a website cost in Morocco?

Ask for three quotes for "a website" and you will get three very different answers. Nobody is necessarily lying: each one is pricing a different project. This guide helps you understand what you are really paying for, compare offers and avoid bad surprises.

In short

There is no single price, because cost depends on scope: type of site, features, design, content, languages and integrations. You also need to count recurring costs after launch, such as the domain, hosting and maintenance. Two quotes can only be compared if they describe exactly the same work.

The type of site sets the first order of magnitude

Type of siteWhat it is forWhat raises the cost
Landing pageOne goal, often an ad campaignSales copy, testing and conversion tracking
Business websitePresenting your company and receiving enquiriesNumber of pages, languages, custom design, copywriting
E-commerce siteSelling onlineCatalogue size, payments, shipping, stock connection
Booking platformSelling time slots, stays or rentalsLive availability, deposits, reminders, integrations
Client area or web appGiving a tool to your clients or teamAccounts and permissions, dashboards, business logic

What changes the price

  • Features. This is the biggest item. A contact form and a booking system with payments are very different amounts of work.
  • Design. An adapted theme costs less at the start. A custom design starts from your brand and customers, and takes more work.
  • Technology. A site builder, WordPress, Shopify and a hand-coded site have different starting costs and different costs over time.
  • Number of page templates. Ten pages on the same template cost less than ten pages that are all different.
  • Content. Text, photos and video are often forgotten. Check who provides them, because producing them is real work.
  • Languages. A second language needs translation, separate pages and setup for Google.
  • Integrations. Payments, CRM, courier, calendar or invoicing tool: each connection has to be built and tested.
  • SEO and tracking. SEO foundations and enquiry tracking may be included, or charged separately.

The costs after launch

The build price is only the start. Before you decide, ask for the total cost over several years, taking these items into account:

  • The domain name, renewed every year.
  • Hosting, and professional email addresses if they are separate.
  • Subscriptions and licences: Shopify plan, paid plugins, premium theme or apps.
  • Maintenance: updates, backups, security and small edits.
  • Payment fees if you take payments online. Our guide to CMI and Shopify payments explains what to check.
  • Visibility: SEO or Google Ads to bring visitors to the site.

How to compare two quotes

Ask each provider these questions, and get the answers in writing:

  1. Which pages and features are included, one by one?
  2. Is the design created for us, or is it an existing theme?
  3. Who writes the text and provides the photos?
  4. How many rounds of changes are included?
  5. What speed and SEO foundations are planned, and how will they be checked?
  6. Will the domain, hosting and accounts be in our name?
  7. Do we get the code and all files at the end of the project?
  8. What does the site cost each year after launch?
  9. What happens if we want to change provider?
  10. What is the timeline, and what does it depend on?

The traps of a very low price

A small offer can suit a small need. It becomes expensive when it hides one of these problems:

  • The domain or hosting stays in the provider's name.
  • The site cannot be moved if you leave.
  • The site is slow because the theme is heavy and loaded with plugins.
  • Nothing is planned for backups and updates.
  • Every small edit is billed or takes weeks.
  • The site looks good, but nothing is designed to turn visitors into customers. We explain this in why a beautiful website does not sell.

How to lower the cost without hurting the result

  • Start small. Launch the pages and features that bring in money, then add the rest in stages.
  • Prepare your content. Text and photos that are ready avoid back-and-forth. See also what changes the timeline.
  • Group your feedback. One person who decides saves everyone time.
  • Keep what works. Already have a site? A redesign is sometimes enough.

Common questions

How much does a business website cost in Morocco?

It depends mainly on the number of pages, the design, the copywriting and the languages. It is often the simplest type of site, but two business websites can take very different amounts of work.

How much does an e-commerce site cost?

The cost depends on the platform, the number of products, payments, shipping and connections to your tools. Also count the platform subscription and payment fees, depending on your choice.

Does the price include hosting and the domain?

Not always. Ask what is included, for how long, in whose name and at what renewal cost.

Why does The Bridge Web not show prices?

Because two projects are rarely alike. After a short conversation, you receive a written proposal with a fixed price, the scope and the schedule. The project starts when you approve it and pay the deposit.

Our view

Do not compare prices, compare what each offer includes and what it will cost you over time. The right quote is one you understand line by line, with a site, a domain and accounts that stay yours.
